As the Magnetic Resonance Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for executing both fundamental and advanced MR imaging procedures, along with post-processing tasks. This role necessitates a comprehensive understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and medical terminology. A high level of precision in patient positioning and image acquisition is essential. You will also be tasked with applying your expertise in magnetic field safety and ensuring that all patients and visitors are properly screened before entering the MR magnet room.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure precise processing of radiology orders.
- Maintain accurate and current records of all procedures conducted.
- Operate various post-processing and 3D workstations.
- Perform meticulous image archival.
- Prepare and administer paramagnetic contrast media.
- Address the physical and emotional needs of patients with sensitivity.
Compensation:
$65.56 per hour
This listing is for three available positions.
Qualifications:
- Licenses: ARRT, CRT - required. MR certificate required.
- OR ARRT, ARMRIT (MR) - required.
- Venipuncture certificate - required.
- BCLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross - required.
- Graduation from an AMA Radiologic Technologist Program - required.
- AA or BS - preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of MRI experience - preferred.
- Experience with Siemens equipment - preferred.
- Ability to adapt to technological advancements.
- Capability to identify contraindications for examinations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and independent decision-making skills.
- Familiarity with clinical billing (IDX codes).
- Knowledge of human anatomy and pathology.
