Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team at RemX - Healthcare Solutions in Martinsville, VA. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a growing Healthcare Organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
  • Obtain and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
  • Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and providing necessary instructions.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and handling medical billing.
  • Assist with drawing blood samples and vaccinations
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic or hospital environment.
  • Support emergency medicine protocols as needed in high-pressure situations.
  • Collaborate with other medical staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred, particularly in emergency medicine or medical-surgical environments.
  • Ability to provide excellent patient service with empathy and professionalism.
  • Familiarity with inpatient care processes is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience with performing blood draws and vaccinations
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred but not required.
