Theatre Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Theatre Technician to join our team at Yavapai College. As a Theatre Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support for productions, coordinating the setup of lighting and sound equipment, and operating equipment during shows.

• Load and unload trucks with heavy equipment and materials
• Provide technical support for productions, including setup and operation of lighting and sound equipment
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure smooth execution of shows
• Maintain and repair stage equipment, including lighting and sound systems
• Work with the production team to ensure that all technical aspects of the show are met

• Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively
• Basic knowledge of theatre and technical operations
• Ability to work unusual hours, including early morning load-ins and late night load-outs
• Customer service experience working with the public, students, faculty, and staff
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks safely and with attention to detail
• Honesty, integrity, and dependability are essential

• Advanced knowledge in one or more areas of theatrical lighting, stage craft, wardrobe, rigging, sound, and video systems
• Two or more years of experience in a theatrical or technical area
• Able to operate digital or computerized systems
• Able to learn new technology
