Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at New Bridge Medical Center. As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and respiratory therapy services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer oxygen, aerosol, and medicated aerosol therapy as per scope of service and NJ Board of Respiratory Therapy.
  • Initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation, including blood-gas drawing and acid-base analyses.
  • Perform suctioning of patient airway, tracheostomy care, and bronchial hygiene.
  • Deliver, set-up, monitor, and change medical gases as required.
  • Assess, treat, and provide patient care responsibilities with a knowledge of patient growth and development.
  • Conduct cardiopulmonary evaluations and assessments, including breath sounds, weaning parameters, and point of function testing.
  • Document patient outcomes and maintain required documentation in patient chart and department records.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to facilitate resolution of problems and patient care issues.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an AMA-approved Respiratory Therapy program.
  • Current NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist certification.
  • Current NJ license as Respiratory Therapist.
  • 2 years of critical care experience preferred.
Working Conditions

This position requires manual dexterity, ability to distinguish colors, and ability to hear alarms, breath sounds, and verbal instructions. Occasional prolonged standing/walking and lifting heavy supplies/equipment (up to 50 lbs.) may be required.

Protective clothing, including protective goggles, mask, non-permeable gown, gloves, and particulate respirator, may be necessary.
