Job Title: Industrial CDL Route Delivery Driver

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial CDL Route Delivery Driver to join our team at Norco, Inc.

Job Summary:

The Industrial CDL Route Delivery Driver will be responsible for delivering and exchanging full cylinders and liquid vessels for empty ones, as well as delivering freight to customers on a weekly route stop.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load and unload freight and accurately fill out truck manifest
  • Load and unload cylinders
  • Accurately fill out gas invoices
  • Deliver freight and gas cylinders to customers
  • Take basic orders from customers when needed
  • Greet customers in a professional and enthusiastic way
  • Answer telephone calls promptly
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of products, placement, availability, price, and use
  • Sell welding and safety products and services to customers
  • Process customer orders and accurately input customer order into the computer
  • Research products needed for customer special applications
  • Follow up on customer orders not processed correctly and remedy situation
  • Stock shelves when needed
  • Generate sales quotes to customers
  • Perform other tasks as assigned or necessary
Requirements:
  • 1 year verifiable city delivery experience preferred
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • No at-fault accidents or DOT moving violations resulting in suspension in the past 3 years
  • Minimum Class C CDL with Hazmat Material Endorsement
  • Tanker Endorsement
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry objects weighing over 100 lbs
  • Knowledge of hauling hazardous material
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Ability to accurately enter data into computer
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good working knowledge of all industrial products and gases
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 100 lbs
  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time
  • Minimum 21 years of age
