Job Summary

Front Porch Communities and Services is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Housekeeper/Laundry Aide to join our team. As a key member of our housekeeping staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of resident rooms and common areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents, families, and colleagues, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and quality care.
  • Dust and clean furniture, walls, ceilings, windows, and door panels to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Vacuum and clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, draperies, and hallways, rearranging furniture as needed.
  • Empty wastebaskets, clean ashtrays, and transport trash and waste to disposal areas.
  • Clean lobbies, lounges, restrooms, elevators, stairways, and hallways as scheduled.
  • Report any equipment or furniture damage to supervisors and complete maintenance or housekeeping orders as necessary.
  • Assist with laundry and linens as assigned, including collecting, transporting, sorting, weighing, loading, and unloading laundry equipment.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of laundry machinery and laundry areas.
  • Perform emergency housekeeping duties as needed, following department safety standards and participating in campus-wide safety programs.
  • Follow all federal, state, and corporate policies, health codes, and guidelines to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in housekeeping or a related field.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Physical ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects, and to stand for long periods.
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and procedures.
