Job Summary

Radiology Associates of Ocala is seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality CT scans, providing exceptional patient care, and working collaboratively with our team to deliver outstanding medical imaging services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Greet patients, provide instructions on procedures, and ensure their comfort and safety throughout the scanning process.
  • Scan Preparation: Position patients for CT scans, adjust equipment, and select radiation exposure settings to ensure accurate and high-quality images.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that CT scanners, power injectors, and related equipment are in good working order, and report any malfunctions to the supervisor.
  • Image Evaluation: Evaluate CT scans for technical quality, collate processed images, and label them appropriately.
  • Education and Training: Provide orientation and training to new CT Technologists, and educate student technologists on CT procedures and protocols.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an AMA-approved school of radiologic technology.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in radiography and/or computed tomography.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Licensed in the State of Florida and ARRT certification in Radiography (RT(R)). Current ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT) preferred, or must be obtained within the first 12 months of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in CT procedures and protocols.
  • Cross-sectional anatomy and physiology.
  • Experience with radiologic equipment, QA, and troubleshooting.
  • Radiation safety and protection requirements.
  • IV placement and management skills.
  • Ability to use computer and network systems.
Working Conditions

The CT Technologist will work in a medical office environment, with exposure to radiation and communicable diseases. The work location may vary between sites.
