About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Beebe Healthcare. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities
  • Perform radiographic procedures in accordance with established professional and departmental standards and procedures.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of radiologic principles and theory, anatomy, and pathology processes, utilizing the most appropriate technique and/or positioning for optimal examinations.
  • Communicate effectively with patients to obtain clinical history and informed consent, ensuring accurate and efficient examination procedures.
  • Explain procedures to patients and families, addressing any questions or concerns to ensure patient cooperation and satisfaction.
  • Recognize and address clinical and/or emergent problems that may interfere with exams, taking appropriate action to resolve them and produce the most desirable outcome.
  • Correctly identify patients and their files, ensuring a high degree of accuracy and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
  • Operate imaging and other related equipment according to manufacturer's specifications, ensuring optimal exam results.
  • Participate in departmental performance improvement initiatives, in-services, and meetings, staying up-to-date with technological changes and updates.
Requirements
  • Recent hospital experience as a Radiologic Technologist is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to perform on-call, shift, holiday, and weekend duties when required.
  • DE LICENSED - Licensed in the state of DE, BLS - Basic Life Saving certification, and DE RADIATION - Delaware State Radiation license are required.
  • Associates Degree in a related field is required.
