Job Title: Early Intervention Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Early Intervention Specialist to join our team at ProgressiveHealth. As an Early Intervention Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing injury prevention services onsite for a large manufacturing facility in Huntsville, AL.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide proactive injury prevention and first aid injury care as defined by OSHA standards, including ergonomic postural/body mechanic education and/or escalation of medical care if needed.
  • Conduct ergonomic assessments and support by understanding the site operations, job processes, and physical demands to make ergonomic recommendations for the purposes of preventing more serious musculoskeletal conditions from occurring.
  • Implement wellness initiatives, health education, and health promotions.
  • Class instruction & supervision of exercise floor to ensure the safety of participants and proper use of equipment.
  • Keep accurate, detailed documentation with efficiency while being able to provide feedback to the industrial athlete and client for continuous health improvements.
  • Understand and provide reports with key metrics to leadership, client partners, and operations management.
Requirements:
  • A background in Athletic Training, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Health & Wellness, Health Promotion, Human Performance, Public Health, Physical Education, Fitness, Personal Training, or Athletics.
  • CPR/AED certification or the ability to obtain it prior to the start of employment; maintain and provide proof of current certification(s).
  • Basic knowledge of workers' compensation and OSHA regulations, preferred.
  • The ability to stand, walk, and sit throughout the entire assigned shift.
  • Previous ergonomic and/or occupational health experience is a plus.
  • A high degree of professionalism in both written and verbal communication.
  • The ability to work both independently and in a team environment, without constant supervision.
  • Be able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with databases and with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
