About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Senior Construction Materials Field Specialist to join our team at ECS Mid-Atlantic, LLC. As a key member of our Field Services department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of construction materials on our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Field Activities: Conduct on-site observations, testing, sampling, and inspections of construction materials, including soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement.
  • Testing Procedures: Perform routine field tests for soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement using industry-standard methodologies and equipment.
  • Data Collection: Collect and analyze data from sampling, test results, and inspections, and prepare detailed reports documenting site observations.
  • Communication: Maintain regular communication with site contractors, project managers, and other team members to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in construction materials testing and inspection.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in construction materials testing and inspection.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Current certifications in construction materials testing and inspection.
  • OSHA 10 certification (a plus).
  • Ability to lift 40-70 pounds multiple times a day or occasionally lift 85 pounds to waist height.
  • Valid driver's license and insurance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent understanding of heavy construction safety practices and procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency with electronic devices and software applications.
  • Strong math skills and ability to read and interpret engineering plans.
