Key Responsibilities- Field Activities: Conduct on-site observations, testing, sampling, and inspections of construction materials, including soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement.
- Testing Procedures: Perform routine field tests for soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement using industry-standard methodologies and equipment.
- Data Collection: Collect and analyze data from sampling, test results, and inspections, and prepare detailed reports documenting site observations.
- Communication: Maintain regular communication with site contractors, project managers, and other team members to ensure seamless project execution.
- Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in construction materials testing and inspection.
- 2+ years of experience in construction materials testing and inspection.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Current certifications in construction materials testing and inspection.
- OSHA 10 certification (a plus).
- Ability to lift 40-70 pounds multiple times a day or occasionally lift 85 pounds to waist height.
- Valid driver's license and insurance.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent understanding of heavy construction safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency with electronic devices and software applications.
- Strong math skills and ability to read and interpret engineering plans.
