Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager Engineer to join our team in Hawaii. As a key member of our HDR Hawaii-Guam team, you'll be responsible for managing projects for Department of Defense (DoD) and other utility customers. Your expertise will be instrumental in delivering complex water-related projects that support the DoD and local utilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multi-discipline design teams for projects across the Pacific Region, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Plan, direct, and monitor all aspects of multidiscipline projects, including technical complexity, budget, and schedule.
  • Prepare and review engineering scopes of work, budgets, and estimates for proposals, and track budget and schedule status throughout the project.
  • Interface with clients to ensure successful project delivery, addressing client requirements and managing expectations regarding scope, schedule, and quality.
  • Communicate with staff and subconsultants to establish work priorities, coordinate with other managers to review workload, project status, and staffing requirements.
  • Monitor changes in codes, regulations, and client standards, implementing required changes into design standards, procedures, and deliverables.
  • Perform and/or coordinate quality control reviews of projects, and perform project engineering duties when required.
  • Manage staff, provide employee mentoring, establish employee goals, and conduct employee performance reviews to advance the skill level of personnel.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • 10 years of related experience (15+ years preferred).
  • A minimum of 5 years of project management experience.
  • PE license, state of Hawaii PE license preferred.
  • Experience with managing and executing civil engineering design projects in the Pacific Region.
  • Hands-on experience performing Civil Engineering design, including preparing design calculations, specifications, and construction drawings for Federal projects.
  • Familiarity with Unified Facility Criteria (UFC).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience serving as a Project Manager for DoD clients.
  • Ability to work out of our Oahu office, but we will consider locations across the US.
