About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands and is passionate about ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. As a maintenance technician, you will be responsible for performing general mechanical and preventative maintenance tasks, including inspections, servicing, and repairs of equipment and facilities.

You will also be responsible for performing quarterly life safety audits, cleaning and maintaining HVAC equipment, and servicing plumbing and electrical systems. Additionally, you will repair desks, file cabinets, chairs, and other furniture and fixtures, install, operate, and test new equipment, and assist other staff members in handling materials on large installation projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; trade or vocational school diploma preferred
  • Knowledge of building maintenance concepts, basic computer skills, and common safety hazards and precautions
  • Skilled in using precision tools, reading blueprints and diagrams, and manual and finger dexterity
  • Ability to identify problems and recommend solutions, establish and maintain effective working relations with staff and vendors, and communicate clearly and follow instructions
