Penn State Health is seeking a skilled Pediatric PCU Nurse to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Pediatric PCU Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to children and adolescents in our Pediatric Progressive Care Unit.

Job Summary:

The Pediatric PCU Nurse will assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement individualized nursing care plans, and maintain accurate medical records. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess patient health problems and needs, and develop individualized nursing care plans
  • Provide high-quality patient care to children and adolescents in the Pediatric Progressive Care Unit
  • Maintain accurate medical records and communicate effectively with healthcare team members
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Requirements:
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment
  • AHA BLS certification
  • 2+ years of experience in Pediatric PCU or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
