The Parliament of Victoria is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electorate Officer to join our team. As an Electorate Officer, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional service to the Victorian community, working closely with the Member of Parliament and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to the Member of Parliament, including general administration, office management, and constituent services.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community organisations, stakeholders, and constituents to ensure effective communication and service delivery.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policy and programs, working closely with the Member of Parliament and other government agencies.
- Provide research and analysis to inform policy and program development, and prepare reports and submissions as required.
- Manage and maintain accurate records and databases, ensuring confidentiality and integrity.
- Collaborate with other Electorate Officers and government agencies to achieve shared goals and objectives.
- Highly developed written and oral communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports, submissions, and correspondence.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Excellent computer skills, with experience in MS suite of software and online communications.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong knowledge of government and parliamentary processes, with the ability to provide advice and guidance.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of responsiveness and adaptability.
