Job Summary:The Nurse Manager Operating Room will be responsible for:
- Providing clinical leadership and guidance to nursing staff in the Operating Room
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure safe and effective patient care
- Managing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the Operating Room
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless patient flow and care
- Providing education and training to nursing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge
The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of nursing staff in the Operating Room
- Develop and implement plans to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of patient care
- Manage and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Operating Room
- Provide education and training to nursing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A current/valid nursing license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- A Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) required
- Perioperative experience required with a minimum of 3 years current Operating Room experience
- Leadership experience strongly preferred
- CNOR preferred
The ideal candidate will have:
- Demonstrated clinical expertise in assigned area
- Ability to utilize management concepts in the direct supervision of nursing and non-nursing personnel
- Effective decision-making ability and provides leadership to nursing and non-nursing personnel
- Effective interpersonal communication skills
The Nurse Manager Operating Room will report to the Nurse Director of the designated area.Working Conditions:
The Nurse Manager Operating Room will work in a variety of patient care environments where there is an exposure to communicable disease and hazardous material.
