Position Overview:

Mountain Ridge Health & Rehab is in search of a dedicated full-time Dietary Cook to contribute to our culinary team.

The selected candidate will be tasked with the preparation and cooking of meals tailored to the dietary needs and menu specifications of our residents.

This role will involve a split shift, encompassing both morning and evening hours.

The ideal applicant will possess prior experience in a healthcare or senior living environment and demonstrate a commitment to delivering exceptional meal quality for our residents.


Compensation & Benefits:
This is a full-time, hourly position with a pay range of $13.25 to $19.93 per hour, compensated semimonthly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook meals in accordance with dietary needs and menu specifications
  • Ensure all meals are visually appealing, nutritious, and served promptly
  • Monitor food temperatures and uphold food safety standards
  • Assist with inventory management and procurement of food and supplies
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within kitchen and dining areas
  • Collaborate with other departments to meet resident needs
Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required.
Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a healthcare or senior living setting is preferred
  • Understanding of food preparation and sanitation standards
  • Ability to accurately follow recipes and menus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive demeanor and a passion for serving others
  • Must be capable of lifting and carrying up to 50lbs and standing for extended periods
