About the Position

This is a full-time position working weekends, with a salary range of $27.89 - $40.09 per hour. As a Radiology Technologist - Computed Tomography, you will be responsible for conducting procedures and tests using Computerized Tomography (CT) equipment to acquire and analyze patient diagnostic data.

Responsibilities
  • Patient Identification: Verify patient identification, obtain patient history, assist patients and family members, and ensure patient safety.
  • CT Scans: Obtain images per protocols, manipulate images according to protocols, perform multi-planar and 3D reconstruction of image data, and select appropriate window and level settings.
  • Contrast: Administer oral contrast to adult and pediatric patients, establish intravenous lines, administer IV contrast following safe and proper injection procedures, and check lab values before contrast injection.
  • Image Transfer: Maintain a thorough understanding of PACS, transmit images to QC, UNCH's EMR, EPIC, and PACS, verify and segment images at the QC station, and access IMPAX service tools.
  • Other Duties: Perform tasks in a timely manner, run schedules, volunteer for challenging tasks, produce quality diagnostic images, review patient charts, maintain a clean work environment, and precept new employees and students.
Requirements

To be successful as a Radiology Technologist - Computed Tomography, you must have:

  • A completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science or completion within 3 months at time of application.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligibility.
  • Advanced certification in CT within one year of employment.
  • Successful candidates must become registered within one year of employment and maintain their registry status annually.
