Control Systems Engineer

Position: Electrical Control Engineer
Location: Alpharetta, GA
Contract Duration: 12 months
Qualifications & Experience Required:
A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, with a preference for Electrical Engineering.
Technical Proficiencies:
Proficient in developing PLC programs utilizing one of the IEC 61131 PLC Programming languages, such as Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram, Structured Text, or any other relevant PLC programming language.
- Testing and commissioning of control systems, including systems featuring various PLC controllers within a single framework, with experience in interfacing and designing controls across different manufacturers.
- Expertise in control software across diverse PLC platforms, with advanced knowledge in at least one of the following: Schneider Momentum, M340, M580, AB Control, Compact Logix, Woodward MSLC, DSLC, Easy Gen, and LS5 Architecture.
- Ability to interpret customer specifications and drawings, applying them to the design process while adhering to industry regulations and standards.
- Experience with PLC software and hardware templates.
Preferred Qualifications:
In-depth understanding of applicable standards such as NEC, UL 508, UL 891, UL 1558, UL MV, CSA 22-2, and ANSI, particularly in relation to switchgear controls.
- Knowledge of protective relays and their functions in Generator and Utility protection applications.
