A leading utility provider in New York is seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Analyst for a 6-month contract with potential for long-term extension.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance enterprise network security
- Analyze cybersecurity components and controls associated with products, processes, and solutions
- Identify and resolve potential security issues to improve overall security standards
- Design complex solutions addressing vulnerability detection, threat analysis, and network intrusion
- Develop and implement vulnerability mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and development teams to improve security standards
- Guide Cyber Governance and Information Protection team in making informed security decisions
- Work with tech leads and teams to ensure security is built into app development, network infrastructure, and cloud systems
- Implement industry-leading practices around cyber risks and cloud security
- Perform security assessments of cloud platforms using industry-standard frameworks
- Seasoned professional with detailed technical knowledge of security techniques, standards, and capabilities
- Experience working with cloud security posture management tools
- Adequate knowledge of web-related technologies and network/web-related protocols
- Ability to advise on architecture decisions at technical and product levels
- Constantly looking for better ways to solve security problems and design solutions
