We are currently seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team for a travel assignment in Port Orchard, Washington.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will have a strong background in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technology, with experience operating MRI scanners and related equipment. The role involves working closely with patients, staff, and visitors to ensure their safety and comfort within the powerful magnetic field of the MRI scanner.
The ideal candidate will be a registered technologist with valid state radiology registration and registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT). A minimum of 18 months of experience as an MRI Tech, preferably in a critical care setting, is preferred.
Key Responsibilities- Operate MRI scanners and related equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Position patients and coils on the table that slides inside the MRI scanner, ensuring accurate alignment for optimal imaging results.
- Inject contrast media as required, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
- Set technical parameters, monitor image data on computer screens during scans, and recognize abnormal images.
- Maintain a safe work environment, complying with federal, state, and local regulations, and national patient safety initiatives.
