Position Summary
The Inpatient Rehabilitation Physical Therapist provides essential patient care under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist. This role involves documenting patient treatment and progress in electronic health records, implementing established rehabilitation programs, and educating patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
1. Administers physical therapy interventions and various modalities as directed by a licensed Physical Therapist.
2. Instructs, motivates, and assists patients and their families in adhering to ongoing physical therapy regimens and the proper use of adaptive equipment.
3. Observes and communicates patients' responses to treatment, reporting findings to the supervising Physical Therapist.
4. Collaborates with the Physical Therapist and other healthcare team members to share and discuss patient information for effective treatment planning and coordination.
5. Assists in evaluating patients' skills and capabilities to identify their strengths and limitations.
6. Supervises and supports rehabilitation aides in patient care activities.
7. Provides mentorship and evaluation for students from affiliated colleges and universities during their clinical internships.
8. Stays updated on advancements and innovations in physical therapy practices.
9. Conducts formal orientation for new Physical Therapy Assistants, aides, and volunteers.
10. Ensures a safe working environment by maintaining equipment and reporting any issues to the appropriate personnel.

Qualifications
Education:
- Required: Associate's Degree in Applied Science

Licensure/Certification:
- Required: Licensed by the State of Ohio PT/OT/AT Board
- Preferred: CPR Certification

Experience:
- Minimum clinical practicums required.

Skills and Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with colleagues, physicians, patients, and families.
- Analytical skills to assess patient conditions and progress.
- Compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
