Job Overview:

The Housekeeper is responsible for executing a range of cleaning tasks to ensure the facility remains hygienic and orderly. This role requires adherence to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), and OSHA regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform various housekeeping duties to maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the facility.
  2. Handle sensitive information with discretion, particularly in Executive and Manager Offices.
  3. Take ownership of assigned areas, ensuring they are kept in pristine condition.
  4. Engage positively with staff across all departments and assist with special events and relocations as needed.
  5. Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
  6. Monitor and manage the inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  7. Execute routine cleaning tasks consistently, even amidst frequent interruptions.
  8. Lift, push, and pull items weighing a minimum of 25 pounds as required.
  9. Demonstrate the ability to kneel, crouch, and stand for extended periods.
  10. Utilize personal protective equipment when necessary.
  11. Be available for mandatory overtime as needed.

Essential Duties:

  1. Create and maintain detailed cleaning schedules for designated areas.
  2. Follow manufacturer guidelines for the safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  3. Clean floors by sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping various areas including corridors, stairwells, and entrances.
  4. Ensure common areas are tidy through regular dusting and vacuuming.
  5. Keep restrooms clean and sanitized at all times.
  6. Restock supplies in cafeterias and restrooms as necessary.
  7. Regularly collect and dispose of trash, ensuring proper waste management.
  8. Set up and dismantle furniture for events and meetings.
  9. Polish furniture and fixtures to maintain their appearance.
  10. Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors to ensure clarity.
  11. Dust all surfaces including furniture, walls, and equipment.
  12. Report any need for major repairs to the supervisor.
  13. Organize supplies and equipment in storage areas effectively.
  14. Collaborate with other housekeeping staff to ensure coverage during absences.
