The role of the Manufacturing Equipment Specialist is to oversee the introduction and implementation of new manufacturing equipment and processes within a fast-paced environment. This involves driving project implementation, managing production lines and product changes, and ensuring seamless collaboration between various departments.

  • Key responsibilities include designing, procuring, and commissioning equipment, as well as validating and starting up production through thorough technical documentation and transfer of ownership success criteria.
  • Additionally, the Manufacturing Equipment Specialist will provide detailed assessments and reviews of Product, Process, and Tooling designs to ensure Design For Manufacture (DFM) standards are met.
  • While executing projects, the specialist will objectively define and achieve OEE, throughput, and cycle time goals.
  • Furthermore, they will lead GA projects both internal and external with tooling design and reviews, create process sheets, work instructions, maintenance instructions, and other documentation required for training production and maintenance teams.
Requirements
  • A degree in Engineering or equivalent experience is required, along with 2+ years of proven experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing complex manual and automated manufacturing equipment & processes.
  • Familiarity with assembly processes, technologies, and platforms is essential, as well as proficiency with 3D (SolidWorks, 3Dx, Catia) and 2D CAD (AutoCAD) platforms.
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, be able to resolve conflicts, and have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
