CompensationThe hourly rate for this position is $35-43 per hour.
Job DescriptionThis Special Education Teacher role involves developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs in a middle school setting. The ideal candidate will provide specialized instruction and support to help students achieve academic and social goals while adapting teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement IEPs for students with special needs
- Provide specialized instruction and support to help students achieve academic and social goals
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create a nurturing learning environment
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education (or related field)
- ACTIVE Special Education Licensure in the state of TX
- Prior experience working with students with special needs is preferred
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
