About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Mettler Toledo. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing new products and improving existing ones.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, conceptualize, and create mechanical designs for new products and improvements of existing products.
  • Use computer software to generate solid models, 2D drawings, assembly drawings, procedures, specifications, and BOMs.
  • Perform design reviews on a regular basis and coordinate with vendors for fabrication and open innovation.
  • Develop testing processes and perform testing and validation of new designs to ensure fit, form, functionality, serviceability, and manufacturability.
  • Provide hands-on technical participation in all phases of product realization, including prototypes building, training colleagues, and product transfer process to off-site locations.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to research and analyze new ideas for products, execute product development, and continue product improvements.
  • Communicate actively and clearly with the team to ensure project timeline met and project stays within budget and priority.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
  • Experience in an instrument company is a plus.
  • Experience with design and development of new products.
  • Knowledge and dexterity of CAD and Solid Modeling programs.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
