Job Title: Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Alpha Rae Personnel Inc.

Job Summary:

The Nurse Practitioner will provide high-quality patient care, create and implement patient care plans, and perform advanced nursing duties within the boundaries of licensure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor patient progress and intervene in the course of chronic illness.
  • Perform routine physical examinations to determine the control or status of chronic conditions and diagnose new conditions.
  • Evaluate acute and chronically ill patients and prescribe medications or administer treatment.
  • Complete discharge planning and follow-up care for clients/patients with chronic care and/or medical issues.
  • Perform minor surgery as training and competency allow.
  • Evaluate the necessity for referral consultations inside or outside the institutional setting.
  • Order and review results of laboratory, x-ray, and other diagnostic testing.
  • Inoculate or vaccinate patients against communicable diseases.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of skilled registered nursing procedures, advanced nurse practices, HIPAA regulations, and state and federal regulations.
  • Ability to handle sensitive telephone and face-to-face inquiries and contacts with the general public.
  • Strong clinical base to make judgments and decisions regarding patient care and treatment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records and practice management systems.
