Job Title: Neurosurgery Physician Assistant

Novant Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Neurosurgery Physician Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our neurosurgical team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work closely with our attending neurosurgeons to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive patient care, including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of neurosurgical patients
  • Assist attending neurosurgeons in the operating room and provide bedside procedures
  • Manage open surgical wounds, external ventricular drains, and lumbar drains
  • Evaluate and manage key neurosurgical issues, including intracranial bleeds, subdural hematomas, and brain tumors
  • Maintain standard competencies for neurosurgery, including NIHSS and Glasgow Coma Scale
Requirements:
  • Graduate of a PA program formally accredited by CAAHEP or equivalent
  • Two years of experience in neurosurgery care setting
  • Current NP or PA license in appropriate state, registry required with state medical board
  • Ability to work with management team and physicians; demonstrated customer service skills, interpersonal skills, and communication skills
