Pharmacy Technician Specialist

Actalent is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in reviewing Prior Authorizations for determination in a department of a large healthcare insurance company.
Responsibilities:- Approve or deny authorizations and send them to a Pharmacist for final review
- Handle all health plans and types of medications
- Process prescription exceptions, resolve claim rejects, and conduct member and physician outreach
- Enter member demographics and prescription information into the data processing system
- Research and resolve rejected insurance billing issues
- Assist with inbound and/or outbound patient or physician calls
- Evaluate and escalate questions regarding prescriptions to a Pharmacist for interpretation or provide direction on processing
- Certified Pharmacy Technician
- Registered Pharmacy Technician
- Basic computer skills
- Strong communication skills

- Problem-solving skills
This is a fully remote position. You will work in a professional remote environment, using multiple screens and systems. You must have strong wifi and your own office space with a closed door. Shift: Must be open Monday-Friday 8am-8pm in the time zone you live in, with rotating weekends every 4-6 weeks. Must be able to work some holidays. Training will be 10am-6:30pm EST. After training, you will receive your regular shift. Must have wifi, workspace, and a smartphone. Equipment such as a computer, monitor, and headset will be provided.
