Job SummaryThe Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) plays a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care in the Med Surg unit. This position requires a strong nursing background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient care.
- Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies.
- Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.
- Assist with staff scheduling and manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse licensure required.
- Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
