We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team at Jobot, a premier commercial construction firm. As a Senior Estimator, you will play a critical role in developing and managing comprehensive project estimates and bids.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage project estimates and bids, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Conduct cost analysis and management to ensure projects are completed within budget.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and project documents to create accurate estimates.
  • Perform material take-off (MTO) and coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing.
  • Utilize industry-leading estimating software, including bluebeam, on-screen take-offs, timberline, and quickbid.
  • Collaborate with project managers and team members to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Participate in project bidding, presenting detailed and accurate estimates to clients and stakeholders.
  • Regularly review and update estimating procedures and strategies to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating or a related field.
  • Proven experience in project estimation, cost management, and cost analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of construction estimating, material take-off (MTO), subcontracting, and project bidding.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
  • Proficiency in using industry-leading estimating software.
  • Excellent numerical skills and an analytical mindset.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and planning skills.
  • A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
