Job Summary

As a Food Service Worker/Cashier with Morrison Healthcare, you will be responsible for performing cashiering duties, including general food service work. You will maintain sanitation standards in the preparation, service, and dining room facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare food and beverages for service, including washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables.
  • Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from work stations, stove, and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
  • Store foods in designated areas in accordance with wrapping, dating, and food safety and rotation procedures.
  • Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils.
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety requirements.
  • Use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control.
  • Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
  • Interact with customers and resolve customer complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
  • Relay relevant information to supervisor.
  • Perform sales transactions.
  • Enter sales into the cash register to ensure purchases are accurately recorded.
  • Make change, accept declining balance cards, and other acceptable forms of payment.
  • Issue receipts to customers.
  • Follow standard procedures for issuing cash refunds.
  • Responsible for all assigned change funds and cash receipts, ensuring that cash drawer is in compliance with overage/shortage standards.
  • Replenish condiments, beverages, and general supplies while maintaining service area cleanliness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
