Job Overview

At Hoist & Crane Service Group Inc, we are seeking a highly skilled Elevator Technician to join our team. As an Elevator Technician, you will be responsible for performing field service work on all types of elevators, VRCs, and Rack and Pinion systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent the company in an expert and professional manner at all times.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and structural aspects of elevator systems.
  • Supervise and lead a team of technicians to ensure efficient and effective completion of tasks.
  • Make informed decisions and take charge of work assignments to optimize company interests.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Acquire and maintain necessary tools and equipment to perform technical requirements.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in the elevator industry or equivalent.
  • Possess or be eligible to obtain a CET or NEIEP elevator mechanic's certificate.
  • Possess or be eligible to obtain a TWIC card.
  • Strong elevator knowledge and technical skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work for extended periods in a standing or sitting position.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Pass a drug/alcohol screening and background check.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of tools and craftsmanship.
  • Dependability and strong organizational skills.
