POSITION SUMMARY:The Facility Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the aesthetic and hygienic standards of our facilities. This role includes managing cleaning schedules and maintenance activities throughout the building.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implement directives from the Principal or Custodial Foreman.
- Oversee minor repair tasks as needed.
- Develop a comprehensive daily cleaning agenda for all rooms and offices, including duties such as dusting, vacuuming, and window washing.
- Ensure a secure environment for all occupants.
- Oversee the acquisition of cleaning supplies while adhering to budget constraints.
- Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the building and its surroundings at all times.
- Verify that all exit doors and emergency exits are functional during operational hours.
- Secure the premises at the end of the day by checking all entry points.
- Regularly sanitize restrooms and drinking fountains in accordance with health standards.
- Conduct daily cleaning of classrooms, hallways, and communal spaces.
- Manage waste disposal and maintain outdoor areas, including landscaping.
- Care for both indoor and outdoor plants.
- Assist with the relocation of furniture and equipment as necessary.
- Comply with institutional policies, regulations, and procedures.
- Participate in professional development and exhibit leadership skills.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Reliable transportation is essential.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- A valid Driver's License in the state of Alabama is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is necessary.
Duty Days: 240
Reports To: Principal/Custodian Foreman
Salary Range: Classified Schedule 76 Level 2 ($39,825 - $44,874)
