The Varsity Yearbook division is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Specialist to join our team. The Mechanical Maintenance Specialist will undertake various skilled and semi-skilled tasks related to the upkeep and repair of machinery, facilities, and equipment.
Position: Mechanical Maintenance Specialist
Location: Edwardsville, KS
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize technical expertise to determine appropriate work methods and procedures.
- Receive assignments through verbal or written instructions, which may include sketches or diagrams.
Core Duties:
- Install electrical systems, including conduit, wiring, switches, controls, outlets, fixtures, and motors.
- Evaluate and maintain equipment performance using tools such as voltmeters, temperature sensors, and pressure gauges.
- Calibrate and test HVAC systems.
- Engage in construction tasks such as welding, brazing, soldering, and plumbing.
- Inspect and repair pumps, fans, valves, and motors.
- Conduct minor equipment repairs.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
- Maintain general facility upkeep and cleanliness.
Work Schedule:
For 7-8 months of the year, the shift hours are from 6 AM to 2 PM. During peak seasons, the required shift hours will be from 3 PM to 11 PM.
