Financial Expert

Westamerica Bank is seeking a highly skilled Financial Expert to join its team in California. As one of the largest commercial banks in the state, we offer a unique opportunity for professionals to grow and develop their careers.

The estimated salary for this position is $ $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and consolidate financial reports using various software systems.

• Act as the primary contact and technical resource for assigned areas of financial analysis.

• Assist with special projects and prepare financial plans.

• Maintain the integrity of assigned financial databases and provide programming support as needed.

• Recognize and resolve discrepancies in financial data.

• Perform additional job-related duties, including generating ad hoc reports and providing support for company projects.

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of financial analysis work experience, preferably in a financial institution.

• Successful completion of college-level coursework in financial analysis and accounting required.

• Bachelor's degree in either field preferred.

• Incumbent must be PC proficient and have in-depth working knowledge of spreadsheet software and data management systems.

• Working knowledge of SIMMS or similar mainframe/PC interface software a plus.

• Excellent analytical, organization, oral and written communication skills required.
