POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Senior Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for addressing and managing guest repair requests effectively. Your role will involve direct communication with guests to resolve maintenance concerns promptly. You will also conduct preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper lubrication.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Perform thorough inspections of tools, equipment, and machinery.
2. Identify and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and utility systems.
3. Maintain an organized inventory of maintenance supplies and requisition parts as necessary.
4. Communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts using established protocols.
5. Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of building systems, emergency procedures, and documentation, including the ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics related to plumbing and HVAC.
6. Demonstrate advanced skills in engineering operations and mechanical abilities.

EXPERTISE REQUIREMENTS
To excel in this role, you should possess professional-level expertise in at least three of the following areas, with foundational skills in others:
- Air conditioning and refrigeration
- Electrical systems
- Plumbing
- Carpentry and finishing
- General building management
- Pneumatic/electronic systems and controls
- Energy conservation

SAFETY AND MAINTENANCE
Utilize hand and power tools safely and effectively to perform maintenance tasks. You will be expected to carry out complex repairs on physical property, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with company standards and relevant codes.

INSPECTION AND TROUBLESHOOTING
Conduct routine inspections of the property to identify safety hazards and equipment malfunctions, taking immediate corrective action as needed. You will also be responsible for diagnosing and repairing mechanical equipment, including HVAC and plumbing components.

TRAINING AND MENTORSHIP
As a Senior Engineering Technician, you will have the opportunity to train and mentor junior engineers, supervising their work and acting in a leadership capacity when required.

QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical certification in HVAC/refrigeration preferred.
- Extensive experience in general maintenance and hotel engineering is essential.
- Valid Driver's License and relevant certifications in refrigeration or electrical systems are required.
