Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers
  • Promote and sell merchandise displayed on the showroom floor, including furniture and home decor items
  • Work directly with internal and external customers, responding to their needs and inquiries
  • Follow up with customer orders and inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate resolution
  • Assist with any problems associated with merchandise, in conjunction with customer service and warehouse operations
  • Work on an organizational level with other departments to ensure customer needs are met
  • Ask customers questions about products, prices, availability, and product uses to better understand their needs
  • Explain features of products in a manner that customers will understand, highlighting benefits and value
  • Prepare sales tickets for orders obtained, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Assist customers in making product selections based on their specifications, recommending and selecting merchandise as needed
  • Describe merchandise and explain use, operation, and care of merchandise to customers
  • Stay educated on new products, policies, and advertisements, ensuring up-to-date knowledge and expertise
  • Use excellent customer relations skills, following up with customers by email and phone as needed
Requirements
  • Ability to lift merchandise of 10lbs
  • Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to listen and respond to customer needs
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members
  • Sales experience preferred, but not required
  • Positive attitude when working with internal and external customers
  • Knowledge of employment and safety procedures
