CDL Instructor

DPV Transportation Worldwide is seeking a qualified CDL Instructor to deliver high-quality classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction to students seeking Commercial Driver's Licenses (CDLs).

• Conduct classroom instruction covering traffic laws, safety regulations, vehicle operation, and basic maintenance.
• Provide hands-on training and demonstration in pre-trip inspections, vehicle maneuvering, and defensive driving techniques.
• Supervise and evaluate students' progress during behind-the-wheel training sessions, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
• Develop and implement lesson plans, training materials, and assessments to support effective learning outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations governing commercial driver training programs.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance evaluations, and training documentation.
• Collaborate with other instructors and staff to continuously improve training curriculum and delivery methods.
• Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages student engagement and success.

• Valid CDL with passenger endorsements.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a professional CDL driver.
• Previous experience as a CDL instructor or trainer is preferred.
• Strong understanding of commercial driving regulations and safety standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively teach and motivate students from diverse backgrounds.
• Patient, supportive, and adaptable teaching style with a commitment to student success.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in transportation or education is a plus.

$25 - $35 an hour.
