**Job Summary**

We are seeking qualified adjunct faculty members to teach in the Arts and Sciences Division at Central Virginia Community College. The successful candidates will be responsible for teaching a variety of courses, including those in the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences.

**Responsibilities**

  • Teach a range of courses in the Arts and Sciences Division, including introductory and advanced courses
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and assessments
  • Provide individualized support to students and respond to their needs
  • Stay current with developments in their field and incorporate relevant topics into their teaching
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum

**Requirements**

  • Masters Degree with a minimum of 18 hours in teaching discipline
  • Bachelors Degree with a major in teaching field and minimum of 2 years related occupational experience
  • Associates Degree in teaching field with demonstrated competency in teaching field and 2 years of related occupational experience

**Preferred Qualifications**

  • Experience teaching at the community college level
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • Selected candidate is subject to a criminal background check as a condition of employment
