Job Title: Referral Coordinator

Central California Faculty Medical Group, Inc. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Referral Coordinator to join our team. As a Referral Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and tracking referrals, authorizations, and appointments for patients within our practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify and secure authorizations and referrals for all patient visits prior to appointments.
  • Coordinate outside referrals, appointments, and authorizations requested by practice physicians for diagnostic testing, specialty provider referrals, and services such as physical therapy and occupational therapy.
  • Schedule, track, and communicate with patients to ensure completion of all physician referrals for outside services and testing.
  • Perform statistical tracking of referrals to ensure consistent follow-through and guarantee completion of all outside patient testing, services, and appointments.
  • Assist with coordination of day-to-day front office operations to ensure exceptional patient throughput.
  • Develop and maintain positive and professional relationships with outside referral sources and facilities.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a medical office assistant program preferred.
  • Minimum two years experience in a referral coordinator role.
  • Experience in a medical office preferred.
Performance Requirements:
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, authorization, and referral processes.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office, Word, and Excel.
  • Bilingual- English/Spanish speaking preferred.
  • Skills in organizational techniques, including time management, prioritization, multitasking, and problem-solving.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills required.
Work Environment:

This position is in a well-lighted office environment. All employees are responsible for complying with safe and healthful work practices as outlined in the Company's Employee Safety and Injury and Illness Prevention Program and policies and procedures specific to their department needs.

Salary:

$21.25 - $24.45 per hour
