As Epiq continues to innovate and expand its cloud offerings, we are seeking a dedicated Cloud Security Engineer to enhance our cybersecurity framework. This role is pivotal in establishing and enforcing security protocols across our Azure and AWS platforms. The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Business Information Security (BISO) to ensure robust security measures are integrated into our cloud operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Cloud Steering Committee to define and implement security standards within Epiq's cloud infrastructure.
  • Assist software development and IT teams in applying security measures that align with Epiq's cloud security policies.
  • Evaluate existing security controls and propose enhancements for improved security, cost efficiency, and automation.
  • Advise software developers on security best practices for cloud application design.
  • Communicate challenges and requirements to cybersecurity leadership to adapt the security program for better support.
  • Monitor and report on metrics to assess the effectiveness of cloud security initiatives.
  • Support the Cloud Security Posture Management program in evaluating security controls across essential cloud assets.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate cloud infrastructure environments.
  • Expertise in native technologies within Azure or AWS, with a preference for AWS skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of secure cloud practices in hybrid environments utilizing both traditional and cloud-native technologies.
  • Ability to adapt existing cloud technology knowledge to new and unfamiliar technologies.
  • Familiarity with recognized cloud security frameworks such as NIST and OWASP Cloud-Native Application Top 10.
  • Proven track record of building relationships and credibility across diverse teams with varying objectives.
  • Ability to define and track critical metrics and key performance indicators.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively present and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Capability to provide technical guidance and explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
