Are you ready to contribute to a vital industry? We are seeking an Aerial Lineman to enhance our operations at Triple-D. This role involves executing aerial cable installation techniques and managing the placement of poles and anchors.
Key Responsibilities- Installation and Repair: Execute the installation and maintenance of aerial telecommunications cables.
- Tool Utilization: Safely operate hand tools and equipment, including wrenches, drills, ladders, and climbing hooks.
- Equipment Operation: Manage mechanized equipment such as bucket trucks and excavators.
- Safety Protocols: Establish safety perimeters using appropriate signage and barriers, and flag traffic when necessary.
- Regulatory Compliance: Understand and adhere to separation and clearance regulations.
- Climbing and Working Aloft: Safely work at heights using climbing hooks and ladders.
- Safe Work Practices: Maintain safe working conditions in accordance with all relevant regulations and policies.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical exam and obtain a valid medical card.
- Possession of a valid standard Driver's License or Class A Commercial Driver's License.
- Prior experience in construction, particularly within the telecommunications sector.
- Familiarity with established aerial cable installation methods.
- Capability to climb telephone poles and operate bucket trucks, reaching heights of up to 40 feet.
- Experience in various telecommunications construction tasks, including pole transfers and cable installation.
- Able to lift and carry weights of 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed.
- Willingness to work overtime, including evenings and weekends, as required.
- Ability to maintain a safe working environment under all weather conditions.
- Willingness to travel as necessary.
- Experience with splicing of active and passive equipment is a plus.
