Job Title: Respiratory Therapist

Lancaster Rehabilitation Hospital is a leading provider of comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation programs. We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team.

About the Role:

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and treatment in our state-of-the-art rehabilitation hospital. Your expertise will be essential in helping patients recover from a range of conditions, including stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain knowledge of various methods of oxygen delivery and necessary equipment.
  • Administer respiratory therapy treatments, understanding the purpose and possible side effects of each.
  • Set up and monitor mechanical ventilators, performing critical care duties such as airway management and tracheal suctioning.
  • Assess patient pain interfering with optimal level of function or participation in activities.
  • Perform arterial punctures to obtain arterial blood samples for blood gas analysis, understanding possible complications and contraindications.
  • Perform EKGs, type report interpretations, send reports to physicians, and file reports in department, according to department procedures.
Requirements:
  • Current State Respiratory Therapist Licensure.
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy.
  • Current CPR certification (BLS).
  • Three (3) or more years of previous experience in all aspects of cardiopulmonary services highly preferred.
