About the Role

Environmental Resources Management (ERM) is seeking a Senior Health and Safety Professional to join our team in the San Francisco Bay Area.

This role will involve working with top EHS professionals on local, national, and global teams to develop innovative solutions to complex technical and regulatory issues. You will be responsible for helping clients tackle their most pressing H&S challenges across various sectors, including tech, biotech, manufacturing, power, chemical, and oil and gas.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safety, occupational health, or a related science degree, with at least 6+ years of relevant experience. Experience managing direct reports and/or project staff, scoping and managing project budgets and expenses is highly preferred.

You will work closely with our clients to identify and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This may involve auditing/assessments, behavior-based safety, biohazards, chemical or lab safety, data analysis, electrical safety and NFPA 70E, fire prevention, industrial hygiene, laser safety, lock-out/tag-out (LOTO), machine guarding, process hazard assessments, and robotics safety.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing innovative H&S programs and strategies in areas such as injury/illness prevention plans, hazard communication/chemical management, occupational health programs, safety management systems, process safety and risk management, and industrial hygiene assessments.
  • Assisting clients in identifying and implementing corrective actions to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Supporting clients' desire to improve safety performance by providing training, field coaching, and targeted EHS assessments.
  • Participating as an enthusiastic team member on various project teams and effectively completing assignments.
  • Learning and growing as a safety professional through frequent internal and external training as well as exposure to interesting projects and advanced customer experiences.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $95,868 - $128,000 USD, based on factors including education, qualifications, certifications, experience, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
