Job Description

**Job Summary:**

Suncoast Center is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Therapist to join our team. As a Family Therapist, you will provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to children and families, promoting strength-based and resiliency-based approaches.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide culturally competent and solution-focused therapeutic services to families with multiple needs and areas of concern.
  • Develop and implement Treatment Plans that address the unique needs of each family, with a focus on resolution and high specificity.
  • Maintain accurate records of caseloads and manage data for measurable objectives, ensuring compliance with agency standards.
  • Participate in clinical supervision and peer support, promoting a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Provide crisis intervention services, responding to calls within 20 minutes and ensuring the safety and well-being of clients.
  • Collaborate with community providers and outreach locations to promote family involvement and engagement in program activities.
  • Assist with quarterly and annual reports for the Agency and JWB, ensuring timely and accurate submission.
  • Complete Feedback Informed Treatment (FIT) 6-month checklist within the first 6 months of employment, and utilize the ORS and SRS with all clients within 6 months of employment.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in clinical social work, clinical psychology, mental health counseling, or a related human service field.
  • Experience providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions to children and families, with a focus on strength-based and resiliency-based approaches.
  • Competency in working with diverse cultural backgrounds, trauma, mental illness, and substance abuse disorders.
  • Ability to work with families experiencing multiple stressors and child welfare issues, and to develop a strong understanding of community resources and social support development.
  • Valid Florida driver's license, acceptable driving record, and reliable vehicle insurance.
  • Computer literacy and ability to maintain accurate records and manage data.
