This announcement is intended to recruit Behavioral Support Specialist positions that deliver services to students at the designated site.
Compensation Structure:
Behavioral Support Specialist II, SR-16: $4,038.00 monthly
Effectively implements Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) with precision by employing suitable behavior management strategies for students displaying significant, challenging behaviors.
Fosters and sustains connections with students by establishing oneself as a supportive figure to enhance value and promote social engagement.
Essential Educational Qualifications:
48 semester credits of baccalaureate-level coursework from an accredited higher education institution recognized by the Hawaii Department of Education.
The required 48 credits may be drawn from various disciplines or academic fields.
Among the 48 credits, a minimum of 3 must be in mathematics and 3 in English.
An Associate in Arts (AA) or Science (AS) degree or higher from an accredited institution acknowledged by the Hawaii Department of Education is also acceptable.
The credits obtained for the degree must encompass at least 48 credits in baccalaureate-level courses.
Successful completion of the ParaPro Assessment provided by the Educational Testing Service (ETS) is required.
