Job Opportunity

Virginia Commonwealth University is seeking a highly qualified adjunct faculty member to teach PSYC 694 Clinical Practicum for the 2024 spring semester.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of doctoral students in the child/adolescent concentration of the Clinical Psychology program
  • Provide individual supervision to students
  • Lead group supervision sessions
  • Review notes, reports, and videotapes in a timely manner
  • Communicate effectively with the clinic director, program director, and other clinical faculty
  • Grade assignments and exams in a timely manner based on instructions/rubric provided
  • Respond to student inquiries within 48 hours
  • Submit final grades according to College/Department policy
Requirements
  • PhD from an APA accredited Clinical Psychology program
  • Licensure as a Clinical Psychologist in the Commonwealth of Virginia, or license-eligible
  • A successful record of providing therapy and conducting assessments with children and their families and supervising doctoral students in the provision of mental health services
  • Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment
