Job Summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Avionics/Electrical Technician Sr to join our team in Savannah, GA. As a key member of our service center, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance in the testing, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics and electronic systems on our aircraft.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide technical leadership and expertise in the testing, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics and electronic systems.
  2. Develop and implement process changes to reduce cost and meet schedule requirements without compromising safety or quality.
  3. Train and mentor junior technicians to ensure a skilled and safety-conscious workforce.
  4. Ensure quality and efficiency of all installations, including troubleshooting and repair of malfunctioning systems.
  5. Oversee the performance and compliance with engineering changes and modifications.
  6. Set up and operate necessary test equipment, conduct functional and operational tests, and evaluate performance and reliability.
  7. Document all work performed on the aircraft, including daily logs and other paperwork.
  8. Enforce company safety regulations, including the FOD program, tool control program, and 5-S program.
Requirements
  1. High School Diploma or GED required; six years of experience in an avionics/electrical career field or two years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics and four years of related experience.
  2. A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license preferred.
  3. Other FCC License preferred.
  4. Other NCATT preferred.
  5. Preferred proficiency in the operation and troubleshooting of other aircraft systems or disciplines, such as hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls, environmental controls, or structural installations and repairs.
  6. APU run qualification and engine run qualification preferred.
  7. Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.
