Job Summary and Qualifications

The Computed Tomography Technologist accepts the responsibility and accountability for the duties of a Cat Scan Technologist. Must be registered by the A.R.R.T. The overall goal for the Cat Scan Technologist is to provide optimum care to the patient, physician, and patient's family in accordance with the standards of care at Fairview Park Hospital.

  • Provide quality Cat Scan exams for interpretation by the Radiologist.
  • Maintain and apply current Cat Scan standards and clinical competency including age competency.
  • Apply critical thinking skills in conjunction with facility policies and procedures to prioritize and problem solve.
  • Quality patient care, contrast media administration, quality control, patient documentation, record maintenance.
  • Meet the personal and practical needs of patients and families.
