Position Overview: The Patient Care Assistant plays a vital role in providing exceptional care to residents during their admission and readmission processes, adhering to all relevant laws, regulations, and standards set forth by Life Care.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a State-approved CNA program is required.
- Preferred: One (1) year of experience in geriatric nursing.
- Familiarity with the practices, procedures, and legal guidelines governing operations in a post-acute care environment.
- Ability to implement and interpret departmental programs, objectives, policies, and procedures.
- Proficiency in all competency areas, including patient rights, safety, and sanitation protocols.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality regarding all proprietary and confidential information.
- Understanding and adherence to company policies, including those related to harassment and compliance.
- Exhibit integrity and professionalism by following Life Care's Code of Conduct and completing required compliance training.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare, administer, store, and document oral and topical medications as prescribed by the attending physician.
- Immediately report any medication errors.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend the English language effectively.
